Review a JGB sensor by its complete model and the object it must detect. The June 2025 JENGOG catalog lists JGB-D10N and JGB-D10P as 100 mm background-suppression diffuse variants. That distance describes these catalog variants; it is not a promise that every JGB model or target will work at 100 mm.

What to check before a replacement
- Exact existing model: send the brand, full suffix and quantity. NPN and PNP are different controller interfaces.
- Target and background: describe both surfaces, their colors and reflectivity, and the required detection gap. The catalog’s background-suppression description does not establish performance on every material.
- Installation: compare the mounting holes, available space, viewing direction and cable route with the catalog dimension drawing.
- Electrical behavior: check supply, controller input and the required light-on or dark-on signal. If you are replacing another brand, verify the actual wiring before connection.
A similar housing or a matching sensing-distance number alone does not confirm a drop-in replacement. Pricing and availability are checked for each request.
