DOUBLE SHEET DETECTION

One sheet.
Two sheets.
Or no sheet.

Organize a review of missing, single and double-sheet detection in your feeding process. Material and installation conditions determine the next technical check.

Describe the state
your machine needs to detect.

A sheet-feeding machine may need to distinguish an absent sheet, the intended single sheet and two sheets passing together. Describe the required state and how the material moves through the sensing area.

Supplier catalog references are available for technical review. We have not published a confirmed candidate model or an on-machine test here. Material, output and mounting conditions must be checked before recommending one.

Conceptual no-sheet, single-sheet and double-sheet detection tasks; not sensor test results.

BEFORE SELECTING A CANDIDATE

Material and mounting matter.

MaterialType, thickness, coating and representative samples; explain any holes or unusual structure.
Feeding processSheet movement, overlap, spacing and how the sensor would see the material.
InstallationAvailable transmitter/receiver positions, mounting space and nearby machine surfaces.
Machine signalSupply voltage, required controller input and how missing/single/double states should be used.

Ultrasonic installation can require review of nearby surfaces and adjacent sensors. Unusual materials or uncertain installation conditions should be checked by supplier technical personnel.

Make the first review practical.

  • Send a material photo and thickness information.
  • Show the feeding path and available mounting positions.
  • Add a short process video or sketch if available.
  • State quantity, destination and sample-testing requirements.

A sheet-state signal
or a thickness value?

Tell us which result you need. A missing/single/double-sheet decision and an exact dimensional measurement are different buying requirements.

Double-sheet sourcing questions

What information is needed for a double-sheet review?

Share the material, thickness, how sheets are fed, available installation space and the electrical output your controller requires. A material sample may be needed.

Can a double-sheet detector measure exact thickness?

Distinguishing missing, single and double sheets is a different task from reporting a thickness value. Explain whether you need a sheet-state signal or dimensional measurement.

Can the application be confirmed from a video alone?

A video helps explain the process. Material behavior, mounting and signal requirements still need checking before a sensor is selected.
